Vacation Pictures

On every 3rd Friday of the month we have a mini challenge going on over at Scrapping Turtle. This months theme was vacations. I challenged everyone to use at least 3 photos on their layouts. Whenever we go on vacation, my husband takes tons of pictures and he does such a great job that I have a very hard time deciding which ones to scrap. So I ended up doing a 2 pager for this challenge.

Checkers

As you may or may not know, this month over at Cookin' Up Creations our theme was board games. There were some great challenges and we had a lot of fun. It really brought back some great childhood memories for me. For my last challenge I chose the game of checkers for inspiration. All you had to do was have some sort of checker board on your layout. Here's what I came up with.

I had this 12 x 12 scenic piece of scrapbook paper and wasn't sure what to do with it. It was so pretty that I didn't want to cover it up with photos and embellishments. So I cut it up into 1 inch pieces and created this checker board. I'll be using this as the first page in my Grand Canyon scrapbook.

Do you remember the game of Twister?

Today at Cookin' Up Creations I was hosting the Sketchy Saturday challenge. Along with the sketch you also had to play a little Twister.
Here's the sketch you have to use:

Along with the sketch you had to use:
1. Circles - at least 3
2. Primary colors - more than 2
3. Arrows - as many as you like

Here's what I came up with

Please stop by and see all the great challenges we have going on for you at Cookin' Up Creations!

The Game of Clue

Over on Cookin' Up Creations we are playing some good old fashioned board games. One of our talented design team members chose the game of Clue for her challenge. Since I used to love playing Clue in my younger years I just had to play along. You have to pick a character, a room and a weapon from the game and then Annie tells you what products you have to use on your layout. I chose Mrs. Peacock, in the Conservatory and the candlestick as the weapon.

This layout also fits a challenge at Turtle Soup. It was the 8/7 Crash Your Stash challenge. You had to use pictures that were at least 5 years old. This was perfect since my pictures were from our vacation to Las Vegas back in 2007.

I just love it when you can combine challenges. Please come join us over at Cookin Up Creations and Turtle Soup for some great challenges!

Pictionary

Today over at Cookin' UP Creations I am hosting a challenge based on the game of Pictionary. I would like to see some drawing on your layout. You can draw something yourself or use something drawn by your kids or grand kids. I used a picture my dgd drew for me last year. She even decided to mail it to me so I had to include the envelope too. She put it in the mailbox and I made sure I got to it before the mailman came. I did a 2 page layout only because I didn't want to cover up the picture but you don't have to, one page will be fine.

Please come join us and play along. We are hosting a month long board game challenge.

Here's a layout I put together rather quickly today. It is a lift of toni-n-tn who is a Design Team Member at Turtle Soup. It also fits a challenge at Cookin' Up Creations where you had to design the title to look like part of a Scrabble game.
